060810 - friday

farewell dinner for 媽 at sakura safra tampines. they have quite a lot of variety of dishes, which mostly i could eat. they also have handrolls! and the good old sushi and sashimi. replenish rate was quite good too. i practically gorged on those. lols.

but i'm gonna miss 媽. she's the only one (besides me) at RT that actually dares to show face to the bosses. i'm gonna miss the bitching, the quarrels, the cold wars, the msn, the crapping, the lame jokes.... :(

oh wells, at least she's happy. i'm the one stuck there doing her work. boo.

070810 - saturday

massage session at bugis. lovely~ would be very relaxing if the masseur didn't keep on pestering me to sign package despite repeated refusals. one more session next week. yays!

then went for lunch at wongkok. very disappointing. you'll see.

my mushroom+prawn noodles. sauce was very weird. noodles were hard and uncooked. i was kinda expecting those crispy noodles you get at zi char stalls. not this lump of.....thing. >_<

aunt's pork chop noodles. she mentioned that the meat was tender, but seriously, i can cook better maggi mee than this. -_-

SSD's spicy noodles. or something like that. lol. it looked really red and spicy but apparently if you look closer, it's actually quite diluted.

only nice thing is 冰鴛鴦. tsk.

then caught salt with SSD. he didn't bring safra card so we had to pay the full price. boo. *reminds herself to apply passion card*

she looks darn gorgeous in the movie posters, yet looks the opposite in the movie. but i like her black bangs. i can never seem to carry off bangs. sobs.

plot wise, initially i kinda liked the storyline of CIA-accused of being russian spy. i didn't know it turned out to be CIA-russian spy-CIA-russian spy-CIA-russian spy-CIA. it left me with questions and i think inception was even easier to comprehend. tsk.

then went for YOG opening rehearsal in the evening.

i feel cheated lor! besides the fact that there wasn't any goodie bag at all (this one doesn't really matter), there was also this session in the beginning where the emcees spoke a hell lot and even asked us to stand up and dance. really bo liao!! i just want to sit down and enjoy the show, not having to behave like monkeys. zzZz.

the performances, although not too bad, was somehow irrelevant to YOG i feel. and then they started to recite all the countries in YOG. this segment alone took 30 - 45 minutes! boredom to the max. fireworks were.....okay?

went expo with SSD and family for the home design exhibition. another phail event. tsk. popped down ikea tampines instead while family headed off. i don't know about SSD, but i did have a lot of fun. lols.

the belly rules the mind

super super monday blues today. so on impulse, i tried to apply for timeoff. which i was surprised she readily agreed upon. so came 5pm and i left. such a nice feeling to be out early. =P

went to wait for SSD and decided on central for dinner. buy 2 get 1 free voucher equals...

SSD's lobster bisque baked rice.

my herb crumbed fish fillet with hollandaise. this one is apparently a new item on the menu and a must try! i love the sauce! they also added a bit of thai chilli sauce. yums!

the fisherman's toss we shared. basically just seafood pasta in tomato sauce lor. not too bad, considering both of us were pretty stuffed already.

and an ice blended chocolate to top things off.

tsk tsk. really must stop gorging on such sinful food. >_<

such lovely, sunny weather with lots of pretty clouds - perfect for universal studios.

so off we went. an hour bus-ride later, we reached resorts world sentosa. was super anticipating this outing, only to realize my aunt's child tickets cannot be upgraded as they were issued by a travel agent. (what nonsense right?!) so we sold them off and bought 4 more for 3 weeks later.

darn sad man! walked around for abit, and the whole time i was resisting the urge to take photo. sighhh. caught a glimpse of the inside though. first impression - gold coast movieworld! lols. can't wait to head inside soon!

took the tram out of sentosa and into vivocity for lunch.

i should be in there, not out here.

cream of chicken. with shredded chicken. no comment.

my wild mushroom pasta. a little too dry, but yummy nonetheless.

SSD's spicy chicken. which was really spicy. =P

bro's combo - mutton curry, sambal prawn, and chicken wing. he say he kena scam. lols.

aunt's chicken with mushroom sauce. no comment.

and washing everything down with a nice cup of coffee. satisfaction!

shopped for a little while more. does anyone know where i can find nice and not-too-expensive maxi dresses? =( and then bro mentioned he wanted dessert. which we all agreed upon.

chocolate fondue! quality of the chocolate and the 'side dishes' are definitely on par with max brenner's, though i would prefer have all three milk/dark/white chocolate at once. mad sinful; total satisfaction. :D

nothing much after that. spent the rest of the day at home gaming. SSD jio-ed bro into rappelz. =\

010810 - sunday

SSD arrived earlier than expected, so he caught my super unglam just-woke-up look. AGAIN. boooo. and he brought me a surprise!

mad pretty bouquet with lovely shades of blue and purple. *happy* :D and spent the day gaming again. i love it when i can spend the whole day with SSD in the comfort of home. /muacks!

was in a light mood until f1. it was horrendous. hamilton started 5th on the grid and rolled off to a stop barely 25 laps into the race. i turned the tv off at this point. frustrating lor! webber's win put him at the top of the championship lead. sad!! mclaren had better improve their car in time for belgium at the end of this month.
