我自由了!

so, friday was my last day at RT. finally! slacked the morning away, then went out for lunch at feast @ east, grand mecure hotel. i think it's asian buffet. love the salmon sashimi. freshly cut! yums! oh the baked cheese scallop was nice too. other than that, variety of food (for me) was pretty pathetic - salad, fish & chips, yam rice, baby kailan, assam fish. nothing much really.

went back and slacked the rest of the afternoon away. unfortunately, i still had to stay back for more than 2 hours to do the official handover. which was dumb because i've had a month's notice period but boss only informed the new 'guy' early this week. so...yeah.

sighh. i'll miss them. especially 亲爱的. best colleagues i've ever had so far. it's such a pity boss is such a bitch. :(

class on a saturday is fun. i get free transport to school, and the afternoon weather is hot enough so that i don't have to wrap myself up in the aircon classroom. lol.

popped down white tangerine after that for dinner cum assignment. on a side note, F&B is probably my favorite module this semester. even though it's been the longest time since i last wrote a report. sobs.

(not gonna elaborate a lot because i'm gonna have to write the same for my report. lol.)

my seafood spaghetti was nice, mushroom soup was so-so, SSD's teriyaki chicken was not really good he says, and seafood basket was quite alright. we also had rootbeer and coffee. all these for $20. comparable to food court pricing but with better service and ambience. i'd definitely want to go back again. :D

to new york, china & japan...

dinner at manhattan's china square with aunt and SSD last night. she bought some fish n chips coupons from groupon for $6 each. original price was $13.90. worth much? but we added some sides so the total bill for 3 of us added up to almost $44. still ex lor!

then had to wake up early this morning in order to meet SSD at woodlands bedok. went to his cousin's place for 满月 lunch. thankfully we only sat for a short while, before both of us headed off to raffles place.

remember back then during my blog post about the pompeii exhibition, i mentioned why there isn't an ancient china exhibition. THEY HEARD ME!

quite a huge crowd turned up and as the place was small, it was rather messy and squeezy. but i suppose i should have expected this from a popular exhibition.

it touched mainly on burial and life after death in ancient china, while i was more interested in the 'forbidden kingdom' part of it. there were quite a number of artifacts on display, though they didn't seem to capture my interest.

luckily, my main reason for going did not disappoint. (archeologists sounds like a fun job!)

eyeopener much? i think the most amazing thing is, they have this notice outside the gallery for you to download this free ACM app. inside the exhibition, there were several pictures like these:

i have no idea how they do it, but just so cool lor. lols.

there was another exhibition outside; they never state what it was about though. i think it was more on sumatra / javanese tribes or something. there's also this area on buddhism, with some statues on display.

quite boring. hmmm. spent about an hour or so inside. overall experience was quite disappointing. but considering the price (normal admission is $8/pax, but passioncard holders pay $4/pax!), i suppose it's an okay way to pass time.

walked to suntec and around before deciding to try out the newly-opened sushi express at citylink mall. at $1.80/plate, it's slightly more expensive than suki's $1.19/plate. however, the ingredients used are definitely fresher and nicer than suki's.

for starters, the miso soup (also $1.80) came in a big bowl with not only tofu, but also salmon bits inside. tasted pretty different from the usual ones. i mainly gorged on their salmon sushi, salmon sashimi, and a must try, grilled salmon belly sushi. so so yummy! oh by the way, FOC free-flow hot green tea. definitely will drop by again if i'm in the area. :D

(damn now i'm hungry.)

been over a week since i last updated. let's see if i can remember what happened.

remember the pretty wall decals i painstakingly stuck up? part of it fell off during the night.

so sad la! so i peeled off the entire thing. thankfully the other kitty one remained intact. i wonder how long it'll last. hmmmm.

party came and went. mostly was in the room gaming watching teaching SSD to play maple. lols. food was so-so; no pics cos wasn't really interested. cooper came, and was one of the mini stars of the night!

yes he's on my bed. no it was unintentional. boo. and of cos, the birthday cake.

i think i watched c.l.i.f till 3 plus in the morning. and i heard the remaining of them drank till 5 plus in the morning. madness.

kungfu panda 2 is cute! i likes. and it's probably one of our shortest pak-tor sessions cos we just went out, watched the show, and came home. lols too tired!

i had orientation at school in the morning, supposedly from 9am to 12pm. it ended around 10.45am instead. and for the 90mins, we just sat there listening to school's history and facilities and etc etc. boring! but better than playing stupid games.

then went town to shop for father's day gift. i hope he likes his liverpool jersey. =\ and then to ah ma's for dinner.
