pity he only comes into the office in the mornings and stays at site for the rest of the day. i probably would have enjoyed work better. i wonder if he's single. =\

was supposed to meet one AF bro to pass him my e. tenellus and glass diffuser, and another bro to get the betta tank from, but both pangseh-ed me! lucky we were supposed to meet at sengkang, so i didn't have to go all the way out for them. tsk!

bought sushi dinner again. i have no idea why i'm always craving for sushi. thankfully i hardly eat rice besides sushi. fat fat fat! looking forward to dinner this friday to celebrate PL's birthday. buffet again! sad.

teo's aquatic farm

headed over lim chu kang to find the infamous teo's aquatic farm that everyone's been talking about. it was so hard to find! nearly gave up even. but alas, we found it, with some help.

was expecting more customers but apparently, we were the only ones. they had 2 large planted tanks with discus. their stock was kept at the back instead of in glass tanks. really supplier sia. the uncle (i don't know if he's teo or not.) was very nice. i told him what plants i wanted and he picked them out for me, not minding that he had to walk to and fro and into the 'ponds'. he also suggested plants for my low tech tank when the plants i thought of wasn't suitable. in the end, he even gave me FOC two bunches of plants to 'try' planting.

planting took me like, 2 hours. i faced the problem of the plants not holding on to the soil. they came out so easily and messed up the waters. i also realized i bought too many plants. i still have quite a large handful of e. tenellus extra. tsk.

my e. tenellus foreground was also a bad choice. i think it was my planting skills. it looks so messy! the background was worse. >.<

i'm just praying for all of them to grow and grow out nicely. =(

the irony of it all

as if a new incognito blog address wasn't enough, i had chosen this time to decomm and restart my tank. lol. cabbed down c328 yesterday to get another packet of gex soil and some equipment. cabfare was a whopping $18 by the way. madness! spent yet another almost $50. decided to DIY some co2, so i had to get tubings and a glass diffuser. also tried root monster and seachem flourish.*cross fingers* going down teo's later today (hopefully) to get my plants. going for more low tech this time; ferns, anubias and probably mini nanas or hardy stem plants.

the changing of soil took me around 3 hours since i had to painfully scoop out the water bowl by bowl. filling the tank was slower, cos i didn't want to disturb the substrate. tsk. also set up a mini tank, planning to keep my sakuras in there. may get bees if successful. i'm pretty skeptical though, since my first no-filter tank didn't quite work out. sigh. wish me luck!

work was terrible today. HL and LP was on mc, and so i had to cover HL's work. su isn't of much help either. all that emailing and ordering of supplies nearly drove me crazy.

i hate to say this, but the new project engineer vict IS quite good looking. lols. he's pretty nice and easy to work with too. =P
