dragon nest sea

3rd day of playing dragon nest sea after bro intro-ed it to me. it's slightly different from the usual mmorp games that i play cos ... it's FIRST PERSON SHOOTER! lols. i usually don't play fps cos my aiming cmi one. but this one is fun.

it's gender locked, but luckily my archer is a female. there are 3 other main classes - cleric (male), warrior (male) and sorceress (female). tell you something weird. the 2nd job of cleric can act as a tanker, and has higher defense and health than a warrior. now that's something different from usual rpgs right? lols.

since it's a fps, it means there's no target lock and it's a little less boring than just standing there and shooting. you get to jump and roll and dodge around! a little confusing and hard to play (cos my fingers are kinda stiff), but i'm getting the hang of it slowly. it makes me happy when i complete a dungeon run without using any pots and hp bar 90% full. ^^

the best part? when i leveled up, they gave me some cash clothes to wear for 7days, which are super pretty sexy! i likes!

the sad thing is, i have to press the keys to use the skills instead of clicking them on the bar. and considering how slow my hand-eye coordination is, i usually just spam-press the buttons without actually planning the skills. facepalm. lol.

oh wells. off to bed now. looking forward to meeting ex-kolics soon cos i miss them soooo much! =)

i'm gonna skip the night safari post for now because SSD takes FOREVER just to send a few photos to me. hrmph.

have been eating a lot these few days. seems like i'm trying to make up for the past 8 months of spaghetti and fish soup meals. last weekend (12/02), we had international buffet at ellenborough market cafe (swissotel). the food variety was pretty limited, especially my favorite salad bar. =(

but i especially liked their fresh prawns, zaru soba, salmon sashimi, and the black pepper crayfish. love wall-e's photos so must enlarge big big. lmao.

150212 - wednesday

160212 - thursday

i wouldn't recommend this bishan branch because i feel the quality of food isn't as good as city link or esplanade. for one, the tomyum soup wasn't exactly very spicy, and my mushroom side dish tasted horrible. boo.

170212 - friday

SSD found this nonya / peranakan restaurant tucked away at the basement somewhere in the cbd area - straits chinese. it was more crowded that what i thought it would be, and the entire restaurant smelt so spicy. @_@

the buffet menu was horribly limited; i was craving for sambal sotong but DON'T HAVE! the menu was also not in english, which made ordering difficult. so we decided to just have one serving of every item. lol. thankfully the 老闆娘 offered to help us order some 招牌菜 instead.

the appetizer was nice, too bad only can order once. the prawns, curry veggies, and otah were not bad too. the assam fish was super worth it. lols. in total, the four of us ate 11 dishes plus dessert!! (ok make that 13 because i ordered the prawns and otah twice. =p) overall, the food was not too bad, but i definitely won't drop by again. especially when the 1-for-1 promotion ends next month.

i need more nice and value-for-money buffet places with salmon sashimi! boo.

happy valentine's day

love the little paw! ^^

i see extra lots of gals carrying flowers this v-day. on one hand, i'm glad i don't have to walk around empty-handed. on the other hand, i 心痛 for SSD cos flowers are crazily-priced on this day. moreover mine are blue, which are even more expensive. @_@

we didn't exactly celebrate the day this year; just a simple dinner and then back home. feel like sharing what happened just now at sushi express, but then if a lot of people know, we won't be exclusive anymore. so shhhhhhh~ lol. anyway, we had lots of grilled salmon belly today! the melt-in-the-mouth type. *HAPPY*

i still think they should open another outlet. at sembawang. NAO.

nothing but food

my working life is pathetic. only got food posts. LOL.

070212 - tuesday

met SSD at CWP again because i seemed to have this idea that it was nice and new and interesting with many restaurants after their renovation. now i think otherwise. =\

most of the restaurants had queues outside during dinnertime, so we settled for this, which was half-full. we both had spaghetti - me crab fat and him seafood. i think both tasted the same, just that mine was only prawns (plus lots of oil) and his had prawns and sotong. serving was quite big, but i'd rather have pastamania. ~.~

080212 - wednesday

wanted to go home early to work on my last school assignment - an online test (where a problem occurred the previous week and i literally had to beg my unit accessor to reopen it for me). so i asked my mum to pick me up instead of meeting SSD for dinner. she came, and we went to IMM for dinner + shopping. so i ended up reaching home later than if i had met SSD. -_-

BUT! we had ala carte buffet at hoshi. lols. my third time there i think. it's $33.80++ for weekday dinners. not cheap and the variety of food wasn't exactly a lot. but the quality was not too bad. you may want to make sure you order dishes like cha soba (we both had 2 servings each), salmon sashimi (thick and fresh), teriyaki salmon, and ebi tempura (prawns were big and fresh).

090212 - thursday

satisfied our sushi craving at sushi express again. lucky cos majority of our 12 plates were the grilled salmon belly sushi that we both like. ^^ SE, please open one along woodlands-sembawang-yishun. i don't mind patronizing you several times a week. lol.

... ...

night safari post up next! don't expect nice photos cos i didn't bring wall-e out. =\

loveliest chap gor mehhh

shall try not to complain blog so much about work. although time passed rather fast today 'cept for the last 2 hours or so when i totally had no mood to do anything. looking forward to dinner with the gals again!

we had something i least expected - thai express. lol. i had the sweet chilli fish set, which looked by far the safest for my itching throat. the rest had tomyum soup each. tried it once and never wanted to do so again. that soup is potent one lor! also got a tanghoon salad to share, and when the bill came up to $0.50 short of the stand chart promotion ($45), we got another mango rice to share again. lols. bill came up to only $15 per pax. why was it so expensive the first time round? O_o

i'm so glad we're making this a monthly affair. nothing like a good girly gossipy crazy laughing session to set the work blues aside. ^^

summing up the week

it's february and the last day of CNY already!

020212 - thursday

dinner at manhatten's! i love their fish n chips! ^^

030212 - friday

company dinner at lei garden. the food was not too bad, except the sharks' fin. they used whole pieces of it too, so BOYCOTT please! =) too paiseh to reject, but honestly, the soup was very nice. though the fins had a very disgusting taste and texture. probably 心理作用, but i really don't understand how people can still enjoy sharks' fin after seeing how they are obtained. tsk. overall, it was a horrible horrible dinner; totally awkward and you know what? i didn't speak a SINGLE word throughout. ha-ha-ha.

i miss my RT ex-kolics. T_T
